St. Clair Shores – The annual tree lighting ceremony at City Hall in St. Clair Shores will kick off the holiday season tonight, December 5, 2025. Which is located at 27600 Jefferson Ave., in the municipality of St. Clair Shores.
The event is scheduled to kick off at 6:00 pm and should have everything needed for a magical time for the young at heart. There will be hot chocolate and donuts to keep you warm on a chilly Michigan night, sponsored by the Optimist Club. Plus free hot dogs. They are sponsored by BBQ Daddy and B-A-S Security Systems.
If that isn’t enough, there will be singing and dancing from the St. Clair Shores Community Chorus and dancing from the Casali School of Dance.
Finally, if that wasn’t enough, the jolly old St. Nick and Mrs. Claus arrive in a fire truck for the tree lighting ceremony. Once there, they will help flick the giant switch to turn on the city’s Christmas tree.
After the tree lighting ceremony, visitors will be able to talk to Santa in the Council Chambers.
