St. Clair Shores—Christmas had arrived in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, with the official lighting of the city’s Christmas tree. The annual tree lighting was held on December 5, 2025, with a respectable crowd.
St. Clair Shores City Hall had crafts for kids. The St. Clair Shores Waterfront Environmental Committee provided for the crafts. Additionally, you could prepare reindeer food for Santa’s numerous assistants who pull his sleigh. Along with doughnuts and hot chocolate. The Optimist Club supplied the donuts and hot chocolate. Perfect for a fun-filled, cold evening.
On the stage, dancers from the Casali School of Dance entertained the crowd. Dancing to various Christmas songs. Followed by the St. Clair Shores Community Choir.
After Miss St. Clair Shores, Janelle Reiff, read “The Night Before Christmas,” Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus arrived in style in St. Clair Shores in a fire truck.
From there, Santa was given the key to the City of St. Clair Shores and letters that good boys and girls wrote at the event.
The final thing that was left to do was to officially welcome the holiday season by turning on the city of St. Clair Shores’ tree lights. Just like past ceremonies, the tree display did not disappoint the crowd.
Following the event outside, Santa and Mrs. Claus went inside to ask the good boys and girls what they wanted for Christmas. This year’s location was set up in the St. Clair Shores Council Chamber. The Clauses usually have their own space in the city library. However, this year’s library renovations made it impossible.
