Electric blues-rock guitarist Eric Steckel is dialing back the modern production sheen to tease his next project. Ahead of the full album drop, he released “She’s A Golddigger,” a single taken from his upcoming record, Sandstorm. The studio album arrives Sept. 11, 2026, via Open/SPV Recordings.

“She’s a Golddigger” is reportedly one of the tracks the artist was most excited to record for Sandstorm. Steckel noted that the single’s lyrics are “hilarious and very relatable,” calling out an audience—especially those in the arts and music—who can appreciate the sharp humor.

The news also confirms a busy schedule, with Steckel set to kick off his European circuit at the Vallemaggia Magic Blues festival in Italy starting Aug. 6, 2026.

A Career Defined by Sound
Steckel’s career has always been built on his powerful blend of hard rock and blues, a style often dubbed “Bluesmetal.” This history—which includes sharing stages with guitar titans like Steve Vai, Johnny Winter, and Robben Ford—has made him an acclaimed figure in the genre.

While many modern acts integrate samples or electronic components into their soundscapes, Steckel has consistently drawn listeners back to the core instrument: the amplified, roaring guitar. His background performing across thirty countries speaks to his enduring ability to connect with audiences worldwide.

The album Sandstorm represents a deeply personal moment for the artist, who stated that making this record was “the most fun [he] has had in making a record in [his] career thus far.”
