St. Clair Shores, MI — The calendar may say that it is late fall, but the weather has not received the memo. There was light snowfall earlier, and the temperatures were cold. The weather resembled something out of a classic Christmas story.
However, the cold weather did stop Santa and Mrs. Claus from making their annual stop at the Selinsky-Green Farmhouse Museum, which is located at 22504 East Eleven Mile Road. The St. Clair Shores Optimist Club hosted the public event, which lasted four hours.
Visitors to the St. Clair Shores farmhouse spent time in the parlor with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Tell Santa what you want for Christmas.
After seeing Santa and Mrs. Claus, visitors were treated to hot chocolate and cookies, free to take on their way out, in the kitchen. They could buy craft items that were for sale as well.
A small petting zoo of goats and bunnies was set up outside for everyone to enjoy. Pony rides are also available for children.
The holiday adventure continues in the evening, where people will get another chance to visit with Santa at the Blossom Heath Park’s Tunnel of Light. The address for the park is 24800 Jefferson Avenue. There will be food trucks as well.
