Heavy rock band Underoath is celebrating two decades of their hit album Define The Great Line with a commemorative tour. The tour is set to kick off this fall, bringing together longtime collaborators and marking a milestone in the band’s career.
The anniversary run kicks off on November 5 in St. Louis, and it’s going to be making stops in some major cities—such as Las Vegas, Vancouver, Chicago, Boston, Brooklyn, and Atlanta. Finally, it will close on December 18 in the band’s hometown, Tampa.
Playing on the tour will be August Burns Red, Atreyu, As Cities Burn, and Emery.
Chris Dudley, the lead singer of Underoath, looked back on their album and said it’s really hard to put into words what it’s meant to them and so many others over the past 20 years. This album was a game-changer—it allowed them to be true to themselves, it took them on tours all around the world, and it gave people the courage to express their feelings, even the ones they’d been hiding, out loud and without fear.
For Dudley, doing a whole tour based on the album with friends is a dream come true; he says it’s something they’ve always wanted to do.
On June 9 at noon ET, tickets for the special run will be available for purchase through a Citi presale. After that, general sales will take place throughout the week, leading up to the final release on Friday, June 12.
