This September, a local business and neighbors will come together for a worthy cause. Roy O’Briens Ford announced the ‘World’s Largest Auto Dealer Food Drive,’ in partnership with Forgotton Harvest, which helps battle hunger in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
The food drive will run from September 14 through September 28, 2026. Donations can be dropped off at the dealership on Nine Mile and Mack Avenue. The goal is to raise 1000 pounds of food.
Forgotten Harvest is a wonderful resource, based in Oak Park, MI. Their mission is to fight waste and hunger by distributing nutritious food to residents across multiple counties. By participating, the Roy O’Brien Ford community helps ensure that fresh meals reach those who need them most in Southeast Michigan.
“This effort embodies our commitment to being more than just an auto dealership,” said a spokesperson for the family-run business. “After 80 years in this community, we understand that taking action and helping our neighbors is what truly matters.”
Non-parsable food donations can be dropped off at the Roy O’Brien Ford dealership, which is located at 22201 East 9 Mile Road, St. Clair Shores, MI.
