ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich.— Ghosts, goblins, and most importantly skeletons took over St. Clair Shores at the annual Downtown SCS Skelebration. The family-friendly event ran from noon to 3 p.m. on Oct. 24, 2026, offering a lineup of fun for everyone: magic shows, a dog-costume contest, a pumpkin patch for kids, and (of course) trick-or-treating.

Along the streets, skeletons in various costumes were stationed outside local businesses. Visitors could vote for their favorite display by taking a photo, posting it on Facebook, and tagging both the business and the Downtown St. Clair Shores page; each tagged picture counted as one vote.

Many of the downtown businesses participated in trick-or-treat activities, handing out candy to the crowd of little ghosts and goblins who stopped by for some special sweets.

The festivities featured a dog-costume contest hosted by Shores Yoga. The event was judged by Shawn from Roy O’Brien Ford, Gloria from Circare, and Brand from Slice Society. The top three winners included Charley (who placed first in costume and was dressed as Beast from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast), Patty (second place, dressed as a scarecrow), and Donut (third place, dressed as Gary from SpongeBob).

Later in the day, Casali School of Dance performed for the crowd, followed by a spirited costume parade. The festivities continued at the pumpkin patch, where attendees could pick out their special pumpkin to take home. Roy O’Brien Ford sponsored the popular patch.
